Frequently Asked Questions

Which operating system templates are supported?

Optimized templates with minimal installations of Almalinux (8, 9), CentOS (7, Stream 8, Stream 9), Debian (10, 11), Ubuntu (18.04, 20.04, 22.04), and Windows Server (2012, 2016, 2019) are available for quick installation. These templates will autoupdate on first boot, but this can be disabled for quicker launch times while scaling.

Which ISOs are available and are custom ISO uploads supported?

ISOs for user installations of Almalinux, CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu Desktop and Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, FreeBSD, and Windows are available and other images for utilities such as gparted for partitioning or netboot.xyz for an unlisted Operating System install or unlisted utility are available. Please feel free to reach out to our support team to request an unlisted ISO or VM Image.

Can I change my service billing cycle?

Systems on shorter billing cycles can be moved to longer ones with a new contract and support ticket request. The new control panel will allow adjustments between hourly, monthly, annual, and biennial without issue. Systems can also be upgraded to another in the same line of plans along with the adjustment in billing cycle.

Can vCPU cores, RAM, or Storage Space be modified?

Individual add-ons for vCPUs, RAM, Traffic, and IPv4 addresses were available to purchase in the legacy client area but resource adjustments are only possible by full plan upgrade/downgrade in the new control panel. Almost any specification can be customized to meet application requirements with bulk resource purchase for a custom private cloud solution, so please feel welcome to request a custom quote for a new server, multiple systems across different regions, or for customized upgrades to an existing setup.

Can bandwidth for multiple systems be pooled?

Yes, bandwidth purchased for different services can be pooled and applied to individual servers. Pooled bandwidth is standard for customized private cloud with bulk resource subscriptions.

Why isn't a location available to purchase?

A location may be unavailable for new users until resources are replenished in the region. New systems are deployed periodically, and machines are constantly upgraded to keep up with demand. Space is always kept available for existing users to scale, and general availability is usually restored within 7-10 days.

Which payment methods are accepted?

We accept PayPal, Credit/Debit Card and IDEAL via Stripe, and Bitcoin.

Are any ports blocked and are ports 25, 465, 587 open for email?

Ports 25, 465, and 587 are blocked by default to prevent abuse and can be opened by support ticket request or using the control panel. Blacklists are monitored and support will make contact if there are any issues with abuse. These ports can be automatically closed on detection of blacklist entries or excessive abuse. No other ports are blocked by default.

Which applications and what types of content are allowed?

In general, most services are allowed if it is legal in the USA and the country in which the content is hosted, and if other customers and system services are not interrupted by your activities. Please refer to our Terms of Service for detailed information.
